VEGAS PALACE should prove too strong for Brigadoon, Master Leon and Tealing. Tom Dascombe's daughter of Captain Rio showed promise in a soft ground maiden at Salisbury on debut before chasing home a fair tool over this course and distance. The pair pulled a long way clear of the field and she is difficult to oppose. Tealing finished 35 lengths behind the winner at Pontefract and will need to have improved out of all recognition and of more interest is Brigadoon. It will be interesting to see what tune Joe Fanning gets out of him as he made a pleasing debut at Newmarket in a fair contest and could trouble the jolly if he's improved for the outing. Master Leon is improving with experience but looks vulnerable to anything with a slightly above average level of ability, a description which certainly fits Vegas Palace.
