Big Mike hasn't been seen since December 2014 and looks likely to need this though he'd looked a promising type and could still make the grade. BOBO MAC had some decent form in Ireland without winning and was well supported on his debut for new connections at Ludlow but found Ridgeway Flyer just too strong. The third horse came out and won in a canter next time so the form looks strong enough for this. Winning point-to-pointer Royalzaro showed some potential on his bumper debut then ran so poorly in a similar race at Newbury that something must have been amiss. Potters Approach looked potentially decent after landing an Irish point and finishing runner-up in a Sandown bumper but has jumped poorly in his two starts over hurdles, particularly so at Fontwell last time. Gibbes Bay won an Ayr bumper last April and though eventually well beaten on his hurdling debut at Hereford in December he's the type to do much better and has to go on the shortlist.
