Verdict

Steel City Boy made a pleasing reappearance behind Black Moma recently and with the return to this surface likely to play to his strengths, he gets the nod ahead of Bo McGinty. The selection has won over this course and distance before and is now racing off the same mark as his last victory. Declan Carroll's charge just got going too late on his recent run but with this deeper surface in his favour, he can get back to winning ways. There is plenty of good course form on offer here, with Bo McGinty and Diminuto also having scored over the course and distance. The latter is a small but game filly however she has now gone a fair time without a win. Double Bill may improve for a recent run but he needs to improve on what we have seen so far, whilst Pawan is a course winner but she looks to be on a stiff enough mark now. The History Man completes the lineup but is hard to fancy, and so it is Steel City Boy who receives the vote.
