      Verdict

Another tricky handicap and we will just side with Cut Glass, Royal Axminster and Swords are just two of many dangers. Clive Brittain's runners always warrant respect here and Cut Glass is on a very tempting mark this afternoon. He contested a very competitive handicap at Yarmouth last week and was noted staying on well in the closing stages. The extra furlong will not come amiss and he go close at a big price. Royal Axminster has won here on numerous occasions and looked on the way back when third at Bath last time. The seven pound claimer is a slight concern but he should still be in the shake up. Swords has a chance on his excellent second to Young Mick at Wolverhampton earlier this year and Bienheureux is also weighted to go close. So not a race to get too heavily involved in but Cut Glass could give us a run for our money.
