In depth

Verdict

Blackwater King races off the same mark as when third in a higher grade at Ludlow last time. Market Rasen third Spoil Me may do better dropping back to 2m and General Ross won at Wincanton last month, though is 7lb higher here. TRESOR DE LA VIE jumped well and was travelling best of all turning for home over a longer trip here on his fencing bow but didn't get home. That experience won't have been lost on Victor Dartnall's lightly-raced grey, who gets the vote today.
