Plenty of runners but a race short on class and one who can show enough to win it is PROVOST, while the dangers are cited as Island Chief and Nuit Sombre. The last-named comes from a stable in good form and won a claimer at Redcar over 7f recently. However, he was unable to follow up in handicap from 3lbs lower last time and is taken on. Island Chief finds winning difficult but regularly makes the frame as he did in a Hamilton claimer last time. Nonethless Jamie Spencer is booked and fortunes may improve as a result. If he turns up then Abu Dubai has to have claims but preference is for Provost. Mick Easterby's six-year-old has a fast ground turf win to his name, comes here in good form and looks to be on a mark that can enable him to win again.
