        In depth

        Verdict

        Brian Ellison has his horses in good form and Off The Scale ended last season with a narrow defeat at Newcastle though he's yet to face soft ground. ONE BOY generally performs at a higher level and has won the last twice he's dropped to this class when trained by Michael Dods. He looks well treated with his young rider's claim taken into account and gets the vote. Sir Domino hasn't had much racing but his one success came over this trip on soft going. Mr Cool Cash has won three races over longer trips though he loves the conditions while Exotic Guest is just 2lb higher than his victory at Newcastle in August. Giant Spark has only run five times and was only just beaten on soft ground at Redcar in November.
