The Blue Stacks is given the confident vote in this maiden with Modern Verse and Onatopp the dangers. The selection was very disappointing on his debut but he was well-backed that day as he came into the race with a bit of a reputation. He ran very greenly so it was clear he needed the experience and hopefully that will put him straight for today. The fact that he has a good draw today is another added bonus as is the fact that his yard are in good form. Modern Verse has shown promise in his three runs to date but the suspicion is that he will be seen to better effect when he goes handicapping. Onatopp will be suited by the drop in trip but she has shown her best form with cut in the ground and is consequently opposed. Whithorn is an interesting newcomer worth noting in the market but it will be disappointing if The Blue Stacks is not able to take his opportunity here and he gets the vote.
