Nonrunner
Inishturk, Andy Gin and Elegant Clutter are the ones for the shortlist and we shall side with the first named. Inishturk could be a very interesting runner on handicap debut and it is worth noting that there was plenty of money for him in the offices prior to his last scheduled start. If the faces are back this afternoon, it would be folly to ignore their confidence. Andy Gin was a ready winner over course-and-distance last time out. That was on heavy going and with faster conditions on the day, the jury could be out as to the validity of that form. Elegant Clutter has taken a huge hike up the weights for a victory in a Warwick handicap. That said, the horse is relatively unexposed and could be anything. Mister Moussac is a regular placer over the trip. He should give another good account of himself although we believe that he is better with a bit more cut in the ground. Park City appears to handle any surface and is likely to attempt to make all. Shaman is plenty exposed but the stable are in form so any confidence behind Graham Lee's mount should be followed. Knockrigg is dropped in trip after landing a Chepstow selling hurdle over 2m4f. A mixture of very exposed and unexposed types and we side with the unexposed Inishturk to make light of a potentially lenient handicap mark.
