Verdict

Governor Daniel has been running well in plating class hurdles of late and has to be respected back in a handicap but may struggle to get the better of recent course and distance winner Summer Bounty, who gets the verdict over another last time out winner Lord Rochester. The last mentioned has been raised 5lbs for landing a weak selling handicap over course and distance last week and faces a stiffer task today. Magical Day is better than he showed at Fontwell last time but is hardly a reliable betting proposition after that performance, while Mr Perry showed signs of a return to form in a seller at Uttoxeter earlier this month. However, Summer Bounty made light work of some better opponents than these here last time and is taken to defy the 12lb rise in the weights.
