Knockraha Boss makes a quick reappearance after a good run at Cork on Sunday but he's never won under Rules in 31 starts. Barna Venture has been chasing and reverts to hurdles on a 20lb lower mark so has to go on the shortlist though it's about time last year's runner-up LORD BORU was winning another race. Placed on his next start here on New Year's Day, he ran very well at Ballinrobe when last seen in May and should be good enough if ready after his break. Captain Cobajay won over fences at Fairyhouse in October and has had a confidence booster on the Flat since falling at Thurles. He's 10lb lower back over timber and though Musical Ava has had her moments she's now 0-25 and has a poor jumping record.
