In depth

Verdict

PRINCE EGOR has been absent for a while but is the tentative selection in a race where Bert's Memory and Bet Noir have claims. Formerly with Michael Dods, the selection showed a fair level of ability on the level at around a mile before changing hands very cheaply just over a year ago. He's presumably had some problems but begins his career at a realistic level and this doesn't appear to be a strong race for the grade. Bert's Memory was well held in a course and distance seller on his penultimate start but that was a stronger race than this and he didn't shape too badly at Towcester. Bet Noir was held when falling at Stratford but this is a weaker contest and he has some course and distance form to his name and form in similar contests. Gaelic Prince has shown a glimmer of ability and is dropped quickly in grade after just one run over hurdles and could make his presence felt but preference is for Prince Egor.
