Verdict

Nigel Twiston-Davies can ready one after an absence so it may be worth taking a chance with JUMP JET whilst Chapel Flowers has clear claims if lining up and High Jack also rates highly. Chapel Flowers could hold the key to this race as he looks well in under his penalty but that could be doubled by the time that he lines up as he was a short price to win at Newcastle on Thursday. It remains to be seen how he fares in the north east and how much the race will take out of him. Andy Turnell's string seems pretty forward and race fitness is unlikely to be a concern for High Jack who made a winning start to last season. He's open to further progress after nine starts over fences but connections have opted to claim and he could find life tougher. Jump Jet has yet to jump a fence in public but he's bred for the job and could make a bold bid on debut for this yard. He's slipped to a mark from which he made the frame over hurdles at this track and could improve for the switch. Sound Stage made a pleasing start to his chase career, Incorporation is in form and Thomondgate is another that may improve for the switch to the larger obstacles but Jump Jet may be able to leave them trailing in his wake.
