    Verdict

In this bumper full of unraced animals the market could be the best guide to this contest but without that to refer to BENDANT could land it with Alan King's Aohna also worth a look at along with Calon Crwbin. The selection at least has some course experience, which was an encouraging display when third of fourteen at Exeter over a slightly longer trip. He should handle the ground and is open to progression from his debut effort. Alan King's newcomer on breeding as the potential to be better than most of these. Plenty of smart winners around this distance in the family tree and anything that the trainer sends out with Robert Thornton on board needs to be watched. Calon Crwbin is the only other one in the race with racing experience a performance that saw him take fourth of 14 on good to soft ground at Huntingdon. She'll learn plenty from that outing so we expect some progress. Civil Servant for Nigel Twiston-Davies should be respected, especially if backed, with the trainer on good form and a 15% strike rate in bumpers over the last five seasons but Bendant is a very tentative pick.
