In depth

Verdict

Myplaceatmidnight has shown more than enough over timber to land a maiden/novice hurdle but it's hard to see him proving good enough to overcome CHAMP (NAP) despite receiving 6lb from the Henderson charge. The selection hacked up at Perth but it's his previous run when just beaten by Vinndication in a hot Ascot hurdle that suggests he's very much one for the future. He's open to any amount of improvement and should oblige here before going on to better things. Merry Milan did very well to score at Bangor last time but he'll need to improve dramatically to threaten his joint topweight. Iron Horse should progress with time.
