In depth

Verdict

A strong mares' bumper but Marble Article was so impressive on her debut over the C&D that she's likely to take some beating. Smiling Lady attracted some support in that event but unshipped her rider at the start. SHU LEWIS created a real shock when beating a huge field at Punchestown in May but there was no fluke about the performance and she can score again, particularly as the form has worked out well. Kilbarry Classic started favourite on her debut at Tipperary and the benefit she gained from the experience enabled her to win comfortably at Roscommon, though that was on ground with plenty of give. Pharney Lady quickened nicely off a slow pace to score comfortably at Limerick and any dawdling will play to her strengths.
