    Verdict

In a tricky race, Fever is selected ahead of Paymaster General and Fairly Honest. Basically, Fever won well at Nottingham and is on the upgrade. Encircled represents all-weather form, while Lights Of Vegas is entitled to improve for today's longer trip. Paymaster General improved for the step up to today's trip when winning at Wolverhampton last time and holds claims if repeating that effort on Turf. Fairly Honest is a potential improver, having been hampered at Wolverhampton last time, while Professor Twinkle cannot be ruled out and Jawab could maybe improve at today's trip. Doubly Guest has shown enough, including when winning over a mile at Pontefract, to be given some thought, while Loch Tay made late headway over the extended mile here last time and should appreciate today's extra distance. Finally, Heights Of Golan will also appreciate the extra yardage today and, all in all, it's a a tricky handicap with Fever given a tentative vote.
