In depth

Verdict

Running Cloud made an impressive debut at Wolverhampton and started a short-priced favourite at Salisbury but could never get competitive. He didn't enjoy the sticky ground that day and can do much better. Expelled is closely related to three winners and out of a full-sister to a 2000 Guineas winner. This looks an ideal trip for her debut and she should make a bold bid to make a winning start. Rustang is a half-brother to three winners in France and it's about time Richard Hughes was striking with his juveniles so he's respected but it's ZYZZYVA who gets a tentative vote. A 37,000 euros foal, he went for treble that amount as a yearling so presumably must have impressed someone and his yard could do with a nice flag-bearer.
