Verdict

Doctor Hilary made all the running when successful at Lingfield earlier this month and has claims of following up that victory but a 6lb rise for that effort looks a shade harsh so he may have to settle for a place at best today in a race taken to go to DIVINSKY, who gets the vote ahead of The Wee Chief. The last mentioned has run to a decent level of form in all three starts this term and should be thereabouts once more at the business end of the race, although the four-year-old could probably do with some help from the handicapper. Kyllachy Storm, a winner at Kempton in March for Ron Hodges, has run well in five starts back on turf since that earlier success but is another that could be too high in the weights, while Christine Dunnett's Danzoe has been running well over the minimum trip of late and could be of interest over an extra furlong today off a fair mark. Rod Millman's George Thisby has struggled in this grade since winning his maiden at Southwell last July and a better bet looks to be Dvinsky. Paul Howling's gelding has shown improved form for the return to turf of late with a good win at Salisbury followed by a decent second at Yarmouth recently and he can resume winning ways today racing off the same mark as last time.
