    Verdict

Blue Patrick and Dan de Canio have both gone very close recently and may fight out the finish here, the first named gets the decision, Beauchamp Star looks best of the remainder. Kevin Ryan's five-year-old made the prolific winner Wessex pull out all the stops at Southwell last month. He has to give weight away all round here but should be up to the task. Dan di Canio has finished runner up three times this year. His most impressive run was at this track when close behind Seldemosa, a repeat of that effort would see him go close this afternoon. Beauchamp Star was second to Buscador in a seller over course and distance last time. The time was quite decent and he doesn't look harshly treated today. Bond Millennium would have a chance on the best of last season's form, but Blue Patrick is in great heart at present and deserves to land a contest of this nature
