In depth

Verdict

As always with events of this type the market should be used to determine which of those we can focus on but it may prove wise to side with experience and select the twice raced Old Father Zietan. Tom Dascombe's gelded son of Zietan has shown some promise in his two outings over five and six furlongs and the seven today should be of benefit. Claphands has the benefit of a low draw and her last effort is probably best forgotten as she raced very green in the early stages. The form of her debut is not working out badly; the fourth and fifth having scored subsequently. Extremely So is bred to be more effective over further so it was no surprise that she found the six furlong trip on both her outings on the sharp side. Of the newcomers, Russian George, Coral Point and Learo Dochais catch the eye but Old Father Zietan is the pick.
