In depth

Verdict

OXFORD DON showed good progress on his latest start when second over course and distance. David Simcock’s colt can go one better in this. By contrast, Wedding Breakfast disappointed stepped up to 1m2f at Lingfield in February having finished runner-up here earlier and the more exposed Major Cornwallis never figured back in maiden company last time. Secret Salvage has shown no improvement and Lightly Squeeze has been well beaten in both starts to date.
