In depth

Verdict

Lithaam is 13lb lower in the ratings than his last winning mark and that victory was over course and distance but although attractive on the pick of his form, he has little to side with of late. Almaty Express has a solid record on the artificial but his trainer has only found two winners here this year from thirty eight entries. Pavement Games lost her maiden tag with a narrow victory at Kempton and although she is finally getting the hang of things we take a chance with MANSII. Richard Hughes is booked for the ride and although Mansii only has one win to his name that came when last seen on the Polytrack here. He tentatively gets the vote ahead of Annia Galeria, who is 7lb higher in the ratings than her last win and Mazzola who is looking for assistance from blinkers. Red River Boy will appreciate the drop back in trip but is watched on all-weather debut.
