    Verdict

WHISPERING SPIRIT is the pick in this contest with Dream of Mine and Via Mia as the alternatives. Anne Duffield's yard have had reported problems over the year hence why we have seen so little of the Catcher Of The Rye filly. Five furlongs after an absence might just have conspired to cause her defeat at Ripon but there can be few excuses over today's six. Dream Of Mine has been allowed off at surprisingly large odds in the past given his illustrious connections. She clearly showed a liking for Kempton on the second of those starts and a translation of form to Wolverhampton would see her go close. Via Mia was backed as if something was anticipated at Bath. The booking of track specialist, Tom Eaves, appears a positive one by Paul Cole. The well bred Glimpse Of Light is bred to be better for a little more time. Lupe Lamora is bred very much with speed in mind and any market support for her should not be ignored. Whispering Spirit has shown a likeable attitude in her starts thus far and she can make experience count on this occasion.
