      Verdict

AUREATE gets the vote in the opener over Masafi and Waterside. This race will not take much winning and Brian Ellison's 5-year-old arrives here in good form. He has a fantastic strike-rate on the all-weather having won three of his five races, he wasn't beaten far last time and a reproduction of that effort should see him tough to beat here. Masafi returns to the level after a spell over hurdles and on the pick of his form on the all-weather he would have to enter calculations. Waterside won in this grade here back in April but he has since been a little disappointing. However, the yard are shrewd so a watching brief on the market is advised. Turner's Touch is a regular at both Lingfield and Kempton where he has got some solid form, but this is only his second run here and it will be interesting to see how he gets on today. Aureate looks the most likely winners and gets a confident vote.
