In depth

Verdict

Marmooq gets the vote to win what is a competitive handicap with Straight Face, Sion Hill and Maison Dieu among those that are likely to emerge the biggest dangers to Marmooq. The selection comes here after a win at Kempton last week over 6f but the step up in trip by a furlong should play more to his strengths given his style of running. Straight Face had his winning streak halted last time where being hassled for the lead unsuited him. Sion Hill is another that likes to force the pace and is always vulnerable to one coming from behind while Maison Dieu could be one at a pace to reward those seeking some value. Marmooq is selected with the race likely to be run to suit.
