    Verdict

A much weaker maiden here than the previous contest and the token selection goes to Gemology ahead of Far Seeking. Certainly no dead cert, this Godolphin runner comes here on the back of being turned over as a 1/2 favourite at this track. That was however his first run for a while and assuming that it has blown away the cobwebs then he should win, as his form is better than any of his opponents (pulled eight lengths clear with a 73-rated rival). Indared needs a check on his racecourse debut, whilst a first-time visor may ignite the spark with Just Oscar. Far Seeking looks the most plausible threat, as Amanda Perrett's colt is another who should benefit from his recent run. Tumbleweed Di is one who could surprise at a fair price now stepped up in trip, however this should be straight-forward for Gemology who looks a cut above the rest.
