Verdict

Excellent Vibes can defy carrying top weight in this handicap chase with Wrens Island and Romantic Hero both worthy of mention. Excellent Vibes has been in excellent form of late winning two of his last three races. Having won at Hereford at the beginning of last month he threw in a bad performance before coming good again over course and distance last time out. He has risen in the weights but a repeat performance will see him go close again. Wrens Island put a string of bad performances behind him to finish a promising third on his latest run but further improvement is needed here. Romantic Hero threw in the towel last time out but has the ability to win more races. On last years form we would fancy him to win but considering he was pulled up not looking an easy ride last time out he is one to treat with caution. So for the winner we return to Excellent Vibes.
