    Verdict

Just Playfull showed some ordinary form in bumpers and over hurdles when last seen under rules but has gone better in point-to-points of late so has to be considered back under rules for Mark Rimell but more solid claims are held by DEVILS RIVER, who gets the vote ahead of Leneygaff. Adrian Murray's gelding ran better when chasing home Well Mick here over three miles when last seen in July and he has to be respected but the drop in distance today is a concern. Sue Smith's Mischief Man is less exposed than most of these after just 12 career starts but he was beaten a long way out on his only previous start over fences and looks best watched. Brian Forsey's Killing Me Softly has been running well recently but is another that would probably want further and a better bet in a poor contest looks to be Devils River. Anna Brooks has the seven-year-old in good heart at present having found just one too good in each of his last three starts and he looks worth one more chance to gain what would be a deserved success.
