        Verdict

A quality Listed contest here and although last year's winner Caracciola continues to bely his veteran status, he looks vulnerable to AGE OF REASON, while Munsef and Highland Glen are others with claims. To the selection first though and Age Of Reason was a winner over this trip at Meydan in February. He tried to add to that over two miles at the same track last time and was only just held, and both pieces of form are very smart in the context of this race. The fast ground will suit him today and he looks capable of winning again. Munsef has more ability than most of these and handles the ground very well. His issue appears to be stamina, and while he has been prolific over 1m 4f and has also scored over 1m 5f, he doesn't seem to get much further than that in a genuine gallop. Highland Glen is another Godolphin performer and he is stepped up to this trip for the first time. Pedigree suggests that he could find some improvement for that and he is feared. Caracciola has bottomless stamina and goes on any ground, while his Queen Alexandra success and a win in this race last year were wonderful efforts for a gelding who has enjoyed an Indian Summer to his career. He is certainly not dismissed today, though we prefer to side with the more youthful Age Of Reason.
