Verdict

Frankie Dettori is always popular with the Yorkshire crowds so we'll expect to see plenty of support for Our Obsession. William Haggas' filly has not raced this season and while her pedigree suggests that she will be capable of staying the trip, we think that she may find NEMUSHKA too good. The four-year-old was a winner off a mark of 75 last season so Richard Fahey will have been surprised to see her only go up 3lb for victory off topweight in a fillies' handicap at Leicester. Jacob Butterfield's claim will ensure that Christmas Light is competitive although she needs a career best to win this. Velvety landed some tasty bets on debut at Windsor and her yard couldn't be in better form. Northern Star was outclassed in the Lingfield Oaks trial and she seemed to appreciate a drop in grade at Bath.
