England internationals Teimana Harrison and Paul Hill are among six players to have signed new contracts with Aviva Premiership club Northampton.

The Saints have confirmed that Harrison, Hill, former England flanker Tom Wood, his back-row colleagues Jamie Gibson and Ben Nutley plus prop Adam Parkins have all renewed terms at Franklin's Gardens.

Harrison, 23, and 21-year-old Hill both made their Test debuts this year and were members of the England squad that toured Australia last month, claiming a 3-0 Test series triumph against the Wallabies.

"We are delighted that all six players have signed new contracts to stay at Franklin's Gardens," Northampton rugby director Jim Mallinder said.

"We've seen them all develop massively in their time at the club, and to have these deals agreed well before the start of the 2016-17 season means that we can plan with certainty for the future."

Northampton also announced that Wood, England forward Courtney Lawes, Ethan Waller and Tom Stephenson should all be fit for the start of the new Premiership season after undergoing surgery.
