Nehe-Milner Skudder dazzles on his return to Super Rugby. Lions beware!

To say he is back is an understatement. You would not have thought he missed last season with a shoulder injury as he showed all his skills in Hurricanes' 71-6 win over the Rebels. Damian McKenzie was also very impressive for the Chiefs.

What a finish from Tamanivalu to win it late for the Crusaders! In a fast-paced game, Tamanivalu showed the full range of his skills from clever offloads and plenty of pace, to his power that saw him smash through two tackles to score the winner.

10. Stephen Myler (Northampton)

A well-controlled performance from Myler who totally controlled the game for Saints. Showed some deft touches with his quick hands - one that set up a try for Ethan Waller and was excellent with the boot as well. An honourable mention for Harlequins academy fly-half James Lang, who held his nerve to clinch victory with a last-gasp penalty.

9. Francois Hougaard (Worcester)

A determined performance from Hougaard who helped Worcester win their basement battle against Bristol. Harassed and hounded the opposition all match long, he scored a superb try and set up a couple too.

1. Ed Byrne (Leinster)

It was great to see Byrne back in action after 28 months on the sidelines due to injury. Came on in Leinster's demolition of Scarlets and scored a try. Welcome back!

2. Tommy Taylor (Wasps)

He may have been yellow carded for pulling down a rolling maul, but Matera was superb as the Jaguares gave the Stormers a heck of a fright. With 19 carries, the outstanding loose was their top carrier and also topped the table with tackles.

7. Levania Botia (La Rochelle)

A superb effort from Botia who helped La Rochelle to the top of the table with a win over Toulouse. Massive with ball in hand, he made 13 carries and beat three defenders. Played a huge role in defence too.

Kurtley Beale and Christian Wade may have caught the eye in Wasps 24-3 win against bath but make no mistake, this game was won by the forwards. The Wasps pack set up the platform and won front-foot ball for the backs to have the space to work. Rieder was massive for Wasps - 13 carries and also huge in defence with another lucky 13.
