Wales internationals Ellis Jenkins and Matthew Morgan have both signed new contracts with Cardiff Blues.

Openside flanker Jenkins, who has made 83 appearances for the Blues since making his debut in 2011, and full-back Morgan were both out of contract at the end of the season but have committed their futures to the Guinness PRO14 side.

It brings the number of Cardiff players agreeing new deals to 10, joining the likes of Macauley Cook and Lloyd Williams.

"I've come through the Cardiff Blues system, it's a region I'm very passionate about and I'm really optimistic about the future," said 24-year-old Jenkins.

"It's been great seeing so many of the other boys signing new deals and you only need to look at the likes of Dillon Lewis, Seb Davies and Owen Lane to see the talent coming through.

"I feel this is the best environment for me to continue improving and the competition for places in the back-row can only be beneficial to us all."

"I'm happy to have signed and I'm really excited about what we can achieve here, hopefully we can kick on and try to win some silverware," said Morgan, who has won five caps for Wales.

"I've really enjoyed playing at the Arms Park. With the players we have, the 3G pitch suits us down to the ground and I feel like we're playing some good rugby.

"It's a pretty special place to play and is amazing when full. In the last few games at home we've played some great rugby and shown on our day we can score from anywhere - hopefully we can keep building on that."
