Johnny Sexton and Scott Fardy give their reaction after Leinster secured a Champions Cup final place.

Leinster produced a dominant display with a 38-16 victory over the Scarlets to secure their place in the European Rugby Champions final.

Leo Cullen's men were relentless as they put the Welsh region to the sword, notching first-half tries through James Ryan, Cian Healy and Fergus McFadden, and adding two more after the break from man-of-the-match Scott Fardy and Jonathan Sexton.

Leinster charged into the European Rugby Champions Cup final with a commanding 38-16 win over the Scarlets.

The Scarlets had spoken of travelling to Dublin with no fear, full of confidence from the win they enjoyed over the same opponents 12 months ago in the Pro12 semi-final. However, were simply overpowered and outpaced by a relentless Leinster, who scored the first try of the game in the 10th minute and never let up until the end.

"It was one of our best performances of the season," Leinster captain Sexton told Sky Sports.

"We really did learn from last year's game (the Pro12 semi-final loss) and maybe look back at it as a turning point.

"We hadn't faced a semi-final defeat ever, so we learnt from it and I just said to the lads if we play well we have a chance, and that's all we needed to worry about."
