Jennings becomes the Sale's youngest-ever signing

Sale Sharks have signalled their intentions to build for the future by completing their youngest-ever signing. Mark Jennings celebrates his 16th birthday on Friday was a contract from his hometown club Sale. The full-back, who attends Lymm High School, is a member of the England Under 16 squad - and is set to play in the Four Nations tournament in Wales in April. He will now combine his school work with training with the Sharks on a full-time basis. Sale academy manager James Wade said: "He is the youngest player we have ever signed and I feel he is definitely one for the future. "He will train with us on a full-time basis in partnership with his school, who have been very supportive. "Signing Mark shows clearly that we are looking to develop players from this region and keep them in the region." Jennings, a regular at Edgeley Park as a spectator, added: "I am thrilled that Sale Sharks have asked me to join them."
