Wasps wing Elliot Daly is expected to take part in Saturday's Aviva Premiership clash with Newcastle after fears eased over his shoulder injury.

The British and Irish Lion departed late in last weekend's victory over Northampton after taking a blow to his left arm, but the damage is not significant.

"Elliot should be fine for Saturday. It's a collision injury, not a structural one," director of rugby Dai Young said.

Wasps are currently third in the table, three points ahead of Newcastle, and as things stand they will tackle Saracens in the semi-finals with the Falcons poised to take on the Exeter Chiefs.

However, all could change on Saturday with Newcastle and Wasps set to go head to head at a sold out Kingston Park in a game that will confirm their final placing and the play-off picture.
