Danny Cipriani: Not one Aussie would get in England team

Danny Cipriani says that no Australian players would get into England's current XV.

England take on Australia at Twickenham on Saturday evening knowing defeat would end their World Cup following Wales' victory over Fiji on Thursday night.

Defeat last weekend's to Wales has piled the pressure on Stuart Lancaster and his squad but Sale Sharks fly-half Cipriani, who was left out of the 31-man squad by the head coach, says that England are man-for-man better players than their Wallabies counterparts.

"Not one Australian would get into that England team right now," Cipriani said on his Paddy Power blog.

"England's players know what they can do and they only just touched the tip of the iceberg against Wales.

"They didn't quite put the nail in the coffin, but if it all clicks together on Saturday, Australia won't have an answer.

"The Aussies will be fired up, but when it comes down to it, head-to-head England are too strong."

Adam Ashley-Cooper, the Australia back, was amused by Cipriani's observation.

"It's just nice that Danny is talking about someone other than himself," Ashley-Cooper said.

"He's a good bloke and I enjoy his selfies a lot. He can say what he likes - he wouldn't ever be a part of our team."
