Danny Cipriani believes he can make his way back into the England team

Danny Cipriani has told Sky Sports News HQ that he feels he can still force his way back into Eddie Jones' England plans this season despite being left out for the third successive squad.

Jones announced his provisional elite player squad (EPS) for the autumn internationals at the beginning of August and the Wasps fly-half was not part of the 45-man list.

The 28-year-old rejected a transfer to three-time European champions Toulon last year, moving instead from Sale Sharks to Wasps on a lucrative two-year contract

Cipriani admits he still harbours hopes of an England recall one day but is undeterred by his latest omission.

"If I'm playing well at Wasps and the team's winning and we're challenging for a trophy, I think anyone playing in a successful side is going to put their hand up," Cipriani told Sky Sports News HQ.

"Eddie's very good at keeping in contact with players whether they are on the periphery or within the squad, to make sure they keep up to the standards that he wants.

"He's given those messages and it's down to me to implement them into my training."

Since taking charge in November 2015, Jones is yet to taste defeat as England head coach, clinching a Grand Slam during the 2016 Six Nations and a 3-0 series victory in Australia.

In addition to his most recent international disappointment, Cipriani failed to make Jones' squads for either the Six Nations triumph or victorious summer tour of Australia. He will now have to watch on as England face South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia at Twickenham in November and December.

"He's (Eddie Jones) obviously very successful in what he's doing, he's a very well-travelled union man, he's picked a very strong squad and he's set the bar going down to Australia and winning 3-0," Cipriani added.

"It's down to the players that are on that periphery to put your hand up and try and strive for a spot in the team."

England go up against South Africa on November 12, Fiji on November 19, Argentina on November 26 before concluding against Australia on December 3.
