Mako Vunipola says Eddie Jones wasn't too harsh on England's players after their win over Argentina but knows they must step up against Australia

Mako Vunipola says England have a point to prove against Australia on Saturday after their below-par showing against Argentina.

England maintained their unbeaten home record under Eddie Jones against the Pumas but it was a patchy display by the Six Nations champions.

Australia, meanwhile, extended their unbeaten streak to seven games with victory over Wales and Vunipola challenged England to raise their game.

The prop told Sky Sports News: "We realise how good a team Australia are. We know we have to step up from the week before.

"We're excited about the challenge they pose. A lot of people are saying we didn't play as well as we could last week so it's up to us to raise that level.

"We did our preview on them. They're playing some good rugby and we know how big the challenge is us for this week.
