England have announced a 35-strong training squad who will gather at Bisham Abbey for a week-long camp ahead of next month's Women's Six Nations.

The final squad will be chosen after the camp before the Red Roses begin their title defence against Italy on Sunday 4 February, live on Sky Sports Mix.

Last year, England claimed their first Grand Slam triumph since 2012, and all of their Six Nations fixtures will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

"This is an important camp in terms preparation for our opening game," England head coach Simon Middleton said.

"We are under no illusions around the challenge of playing Italy. They are very skilled and unpredictable side in their style of play, with a strong pack and good set piece.

"For the players this is their final opportunity to put their hand up for selection.

"Our goal is to win the Six Nations and to do that we will be picking our strongest squad of players available, so it's essential that individuals perform at the top of their game in this camp."
