Alex Dunbar has been ruled out of Scotland's summer tour to Canada, USA and Argentina due to a hamstring injury.
The Glasgow Warriors centre sustained the injury during training last week and further medical assessment has ruled him out of action.
Dunbar has been replaced in the Scotland squad by former Glasgow team-mate Mark Bennett, who now plays for Edinburgh.
Bennett won the last of his 20 caps in Scotland's 61-21 drubbing by England at Twickenham during the 2017 Six Nations.
Scotland face Canada in Edmonton on June 9 and travel south to Houston seven days later to take on the United States.
They conclude their summer with a Test match against Argentina in Resistencia on June 23. Scotland have won their last three games against the Pumas.
Meanwhile, Glasgow Warriors will play Harlequins in a pre-season friendly in Perth on August 18.
A 5,000-capacity arena will be constructed close to the city centre.
