Harrison Orr joins Newcastle Falcons from Ealing Trailfinders

Newcastle Falcons have completed the signing of forward Harrison Orr from Championship side Ealing Trailfinders.

The former Australia U20s international will join the Falcons from next season.

Orr, who also qualifies to play for England through his father, told the Falcon's official website: "I enjoy the English style of rugby, I love my ball-carrying and putting on big hits, and it is all about being a physical presence.

"The Falcons' synthetic pitch is nothing new for me because we have a very similar surface down at Ealing. It allows you to play at quite a quick pace, I enjoy that side of things and hopefully I can make a contribution.

"Newcastle have had a lot of the bigger names in rugby here, they are a well-known presence at the top level and I want to be a part of that."

Orr becomes the Falcon's fourth confirmed signing for the 2016-17 campaign,  following the acquisitions of Leicester Tigers centre Vereniki Goneva, Jersey prop Sam Lockwood and England Sevens scrum-half Sam Egerton.
