Worcester Warriors have signed Samoa international tighthead prop James Johnston following his departure from Wasps.
The 29-year-old is an experienced Aviva Premiership campaigner having made 104 appearances for Saracens and Harlequins since moving to England in 2009 from New Zealand side Ponsonby.
Auckland-born Johnston, who has played 14 times for Samoa, joined Wasps last year but did not feature for them in the Premiership and left to "pursure alternative options".
Warriors director of rugby Dean Ryan said: "The scrum is an area where we've lacked a bit of experience so we're delighted James has agreed to be a part of our journey.
"He has a wealth of top-class Premiership and European game-time under his belt and will add great depth to our front row."
Johnston said: "Worcester are building something special here and I've been really impressed with how the club has moved forward in the past 18 months.
"I can't wait to join up with my new team-mates and I hope I can add something to the pack and help drive us up the league table."
