Sean Maitland has signed a two-year contract extension with Saracens, the club confirmed on Friday.
Despite still having a year to run on his contract at Allianz Park, having joined in the summer on a two-year deal from London Irish, the Scotland wing has put pen to paper on a deal through to 2020.
The 28-year-old notched eight tries in 21 games this season before injury struck, but Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall was delighted to announce the news.
"We are all delighted to have extended Sean's deal," McCall said.
"He has fitted into our environment seamlessly, and his performances on the field have been a testament to his hard work and professionalism off the pitch.
"He's in the prime of his career, and we are very happy to keep Sean at Allianz Park until 2020."
The former Crusaders and Glasgow player is currently out with ankle ligament damage, and missed the club's second successive European Cup triumph over Clermont and Aviva Premiership semi-final defeat to Exeter Chiefs.
Though born in New Zealand and an All Black international, Maitland has 28 caps for Scotland to date, and was named in their squad for the summer Tests against Italy, Australia and Fiji.
