PRO12 boss Martin Anayi announces the expansion of the competition to include two South African sides

A new era is about to dawn in rugby union with the announcement that two sides from South Africa will join their Celtic cousins to form the Guinness PRO14.

Toyota Cheetahs and Southern Kings will join the competition in 2017/18, offering northern hemisphere rugby fans the opportunity to experience something a little bit different, with the chance to watch their team compete on another continent!

The old guard will be keen to show the newcomers they will be no pushovers, however, with defending champions Scarlets looking to keep hold of their crown.
