As Eddie Jones begins his tenure as England head coach on Tuesday, Sky Sports' Will Greenwood says he must make selecting his coaching team a priority - and Steve Borthwick will top his shortlist.
Australian Jones becomes England's first foreign head coach, taking over from Stuart Lancaster after a dismal 2015 Rugby World Cup campaign that saw the hosts fail to reach the knockout stages.
But the future of Lancaster's deputies - Andy Farrell, Mike Catt and Graham Rowntree - remains in the balance, and Greenwood says the organisation of the coaching team should be Jones' first job.
"He has to speak to Farrell, Catt and Rowntree and he's said that if he likes the cut of their jib and the way they speak and what they have to offer, then they will get first dibs on the job," said Greenwood.
"If he doesn't, then I presume he will look to his Japanese coaching staff.
"There is one caveat to all of this - if he doesn't go with Farrell, Catt and Rowntree, I think Ian Ritchie has already said he would want English coaches to be developed underneath and from the Japanese, Steve Borthwick is top of the list from that squad.

"But then he'd probably want to look at Rob Baxter or Dorian West in terms of forwards, maybe an Alex King in terms of backs and for me defensively, if he's not going to go with Andy Farrell, it should be Paul Gustard, who has turned Saracens into a real European contender over the last four years with quite brilliant defensive organisation."
Jones' other job, according to World Cup winner Greenwood, will be to unite clubs behind country and come up with policies that can deliver a repeat of England's 2003 triumph.
He said: "[He must] sort out his coaching staff, go and see all the 12 club coaches so there's no re-run of the [Sam] Burgess affair. Club coaches and the England coach have to have a common cause - that England win a World Cup.
"He must redefine and re-clarify that we will not pick players abroad. If he wants Steffon Armitage, pick up the phone and work out a deal to get him back into this country.
"He must pick his squad - English clubs won all six of their games in the Champions Cup on his first weekend.
"The rain has come down now and there was some absolute dross served up this weekend... he's got to pick the bones out of that."
