Former New Zealand players Dan Carter and Joe Rokocoko have attended a French Rugby Federation anti-doping hearing along with Racing 92 team-mate Juan Imhoff after traces of corticosteroids were found in their urine samples.

The hearing took place at the French national team's training base in Marcoussis on Wednesday after the FFR opened a disciplinary case.

The players did not speak after leaving.

Racing 92 denied that Carter, Rokocoko and Imhoff - a star winger for Argentina - breached anti-doping rules.

The club said Friday that the trio had received treatment days before the June 24 final and in full compliance with national and international anti-doping rules.

Carter's agent, Simon Porter, rejected any implication his client had cheated, saying all three players in question received a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) allowing them to use the corticosteroid medication.
