Marco Bortolami has announced his retirement from rugby, ending a career in which he played more than a century of internationals for Italy.
The 36-year-old forward played his final match on Saturday when he helped Zebre beat Newport Gwent Dragons in their final Guinness PRO12 match of the season.
Bortolami, who captained Italy 39 times, was part of three World Cup campaigns in 2003, 2007 and 2011.
He also featured in 11 Six Nations tournaments between 2003 and 2015, while representing a number of clubs around Europe.
These include Aironi in Italy, Gloucester in England, and Narbonne in France.
