Lancashire seam bowler Kyle Jarvis has been rewarded for a fine County Championship season with a new deal, committing his future to the club along with Tom Bailey and Gavin Griffiths.

Seamer Jarvis took 62 LV= County Championship Division Two wickets in 2015 before his season was ended prematurely by a hand injury, meaning him missing out on the games that saw Lancashire win promotion.

He won the club's Championship Player of the Year at the LCCC Foundation Gala Ball and LCCC Player of the Year awards evening last weekend.

Joining Jarvis in committing his future to Lancashire are fellow seamers Bailey and Griffiths.

Bailey claimed 35 wickets in the County Championship, which included his best bowling figures of 5-12 against Leicestershire, and another 10 wickets in white-ball cricket.

Griffiths was part of Lancashire's victorious NatWest T20 Blast winning side, bowling a maiden in his first over in their semi-final win over Hampshire and also featuring in the final victory over Northants.

Head coach Ashley Giles said: "It is imperative that we have a group of strong and talented seam bowlers and all three have had an impressive season.

"Kyle was the pick of our bowlers in red ball cricket and it was a real shame that his injury stopped him from playing in the final games, while Tom made some excellent contributions in all forms of the game.

"Gav had a T20 debut to remember at Finals Day and to bowl a maiden in his first over was quite remarkable. All three are important to the future of Lancashire."

Academy prospects Rob Jones and Danny Lamb have signed scholarship deals with the club.
